Support for Staff
Health and Welfare of Staff:
The school is committed to encouraging all staff to lead healthy and balanced working lives
We ensure there are smaller than average class sizes and a lower contact ratio than the norm with planning and evaluation time during the school day. We have a collaborative approach to curriculum planning and share best practice with other schools in the Trust.
Clear procedures and policies are in place to support induction, appraisal and other elements of professional practice.
A range of social, sporting, cultural and leisure activities and events are held throughout the year where staff can relax in a social setting; some of these will be family friendly. A staff room is available where staff can relax and where social activities and wellbeing support is signposted. Access to a cycle to work scheme for all Trust employees
A staff Wellbeing Policy and access to Health Assured, a professional health and wellbeing provider. Strategies and guidance for supporting emotional health and wellbeing are available and regularly updated so that staff know how to access help if they need it.
