Year 8 Girls' Rugby Team Represented Barnet in the London Youth Games

The Year 8 Girls’ rugby team represented Barnet in the London Youth Games on Thursday 12th March. There were 20 schools at the tournament that was held in Barnes in Southwest London.

The team had a tough opening game against the reigning champions Robert Clack School from Barking & Dagenham which they lost but fought hard. The girls played another six games in the tournament, winning two and narrowly losing the others. All players put incredible effort and determination into each match. Some excellent ‘special 7 point’ tries were scored and some crunching tackles put in. Everyone should be immensely proud of their efforts and achievement.
