Road To Tokyo Charity Event
Posted on: 28/05/2021The Compton staff took on the challenge of a continuous relay during the entire school day on Thursday 27th May. The challenge had two purposes - firstly to raise money for our two chosen charities this term Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and the Teenage Cancer Trust. Both charities have supported current students recently.
The second purpose was to make a staff contribution to the ‘Road to Tokyo’ challenge which student’s have been taking part in since returning from lockdown. It’s 9,000km from London to Tokyo and the staff managed to add a fantastic 242km in just 7.5hours.
Thank you to every single person who took to the track and thank you to the Charity Leaders who tallied, encouraged, walked, ran and help organise rewards.
It was an amazing combined effort on a beautifully sunny day. Well done to all.
We are awaiting a fundraising total.
