Science - Diffusion and Cementation

Posted on: 30/11/2021

Last Thursday, team diffusion and team cementation were engaged in an exciting head-to-head walking water competition. Both teams first had to figure out how they could get coloured water to step out of a glass and into another using tissue roll and plastic cups. They then had to rearrange the cups to create a shape that is scientifically relevant and give a short presentation explaining what shape they decided to make.

Team diffusion made a water molecule as water is vital for all known forms of life, while team cementation made the infinity symbol to show the infinite possibilities in science. Both teams did extremely well, and we had to get a third judge involved to decide who would be the winner. After thorough discussion, we concluded that the winning team would be team cementation.

Congratulations to both teams for their amazing work!

A big thank you to our year 12 scientists Badra and Ikran for helping with the club!
