Physical Theatre Workshop for our Drama Club Students

On 24th January we were delighted to welcome Freight Theatre Company back into the Compton Drama Department to run a physical theatre workshop with our Key Stage 3 Drama Club Students as well as some of our Year 11 Drama Leaders. The workshop was excellent and gave students the building blocks to create a powerful scene using movement sequences. The workshop culminated with a performance ‘in-the-round’ with every group presenting their sequences. We were blown away by the quality of work produced and the mature way in which all students approached the activities and tasks that were presented to them. Luke and Alex from Freight Theatre Company, also shared some insights into the play that they are currently creating around the themes of the digital world and the online footprints that we create.
