Year 12 BTEC Sport - Sport Science Trip - Bedfordshire University

The BTEC Sport class went on a trip to Bedfordshire University on Tuesday 28th June. The trip served many purposes and was very successful. The students got to visit a UCAS fair and gather information about potential universities. They then got to attend two Sport Science workshops - 1. A physiology workshop in the labs where they got to use specialist equipment and undergo tests; 2. A sports therapy and rehabilitation workshop where they met an inspirational current lecturer (Dr Cheryl Barford) and some current students. Dr Barford took the group through a practical rehabilitation session for an ankle injury which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
