Science Club - Squishy circuits for Electrical Engineering

Posted on: 05/05/2023

In science club, students used play dough to create circuits! A circuit is a path through which electricity flows and requires a conductor. A conductor is a material that allows electricity to flow through easily. Conductors are usually made out of metals like copper.

In this experiment students used Playdough, which is a salty substance that conducts electricity - it is this salt that allows electricity to flow through the dough. Students enjoyed learning the science behind circuits through the process of adding lights and sound, to their play dough creations.

Huge thanks to our fantastic Sixth Form students, Biravin, Milo and Ethan for helping with Science Club
