Year 7 Rounders Tournament

The Compton held the Barnet Borough year 7 rounders tournament on Thursday the 4th of July. We had nine schools from Barnet travel to us to compete in a two-pool tournament. The girls played a total of four games, winning two out of the four. In the first game the girls narrowly missed out on a win against Mill Hill, with us scoring 3 and a half rounders and Mill Hill scoring 4 and a half.

For the second game the girls played against CCF and won, scoring 4 rounders to CCF's 3. Compton had one final game in their pool to secure a place in the 3rd and 4th play-off game. The girls played against Saracens and won convincingly scoring 4 and a half rounders compared to Saracens 1 and a half.

The girls advanced to the 3rd and 4th place play-off game against St Michaels, unfortunately they just missed out of 3rd place and a medal scoring 3 and a half rounders to St Michaels 5. Overall, the whole team played amazingly well with lots of positive plays and fantastic fielding skills. Amelie was awarded player of the tournament.
