KS3 Science - Kidney Dissection

Posted on: 17/01/2022

After a successful ‘fish gill dissection’ session with Y10 last Monday, it was time for our KS3 biologists to experience how animals work through a hands-on practical. On Thursday, they skilfully examined the outside of a sheep kidney and then cut it open to see and identify the structures inside the kidney. Dissections are essential to the understanding of internal processes within organs. This activity enabled our KS3 pupils to gain an insight into Biology at GCSE levels and beyond
