Science - The Great Egg Competition

Last Monday was an eggciting day! Both KS3 and KS4 went head-to-head in the Great Egg Competition: Year 7 versus Year 8 and Year 9 versus Year 10. They were challenged to protect an egg from breaking after it is dropped from a set height. Each team had to design a vehicle out of four pieces of paper, five straws, tape and one long string to protect the egg; the vehicle could only be tested by a teacher.  

Our winners were Joshua, Sarp and Itamar in Year 7, and Asagi, Riva, Nam and Pimpa in Year 10. Congratulations to both teams, you have done an eggcellent job!  

This activity was a great way for students to develop problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
