Duke of Edinburgh Award

Last weekend half of our Duke of Edinburgh cohort completed their expedition in the New Forest National Park. It was a truly memorable weekend and luckily the weather held out for us! Students navigated their way across the national park on Friday, through bogs, streams and forests. There were challenges along the way and there was no doubt that the students welcomed getting to camp, where they relaxed by playing rounders and toasting marshmallows over the campfire.

Saturday was another early start, where students embarked on their last trek. As well as an array of wildlife and beautiful scenery, there were some navigational challenges along the way, but everyone made it back safely to the final check point. A massive well done to all students on completing their expedition and thank you to all staff involved! Our second group will commence their expedition on Friday 8th July.
