Acting Skills Workshop

On February 3rd we were delighted to welcome Charlie Brooks (below) and Niall Phillips into the drama department to deliver an acting skills workshop to our Year 12 A Level students and some of our Year 10 Drama Leaders. Niall is a successful director and Charlie is a well-known actor, who is best known for playing the role of Janine Butcher in EastEnders. 

After a few warm up activities our students completed some character exploration with a focus on different people in different words and how to create the world that their characters inhabit. They then moved onto exploring some extracts of text, before they had an opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Charlie about her career in television and theatre.
