Science Club - Crime Scene Investigation
Posted on: 30/06/2022This week in science club, young forensic scientists carried on with their crime scene investigations. Students have successfully conducted a blood splatter analysis. They learnt about how blood behaves according to certain scientific principles. Students analysed the blood evidence left behind at the crime scene and concluded how the blood might have been shed. From what may appear to be a random distribution of bloodstains at a crime scene, students recognised that they could categorise the stains by collecting information from spattering patterns, and other marks that assist them in recreating the sequence of events that occurred after bloodshed. Students are very close to solving this mysterious murder case! Tune in next week to find out what the young forensic scientists get up to next!
Thanks to Roberto in Y12 for his help with forensic science club!
