Brilliant Club Launch Programme

On Thursday 13^th October 2022, 12 Year 9 students, Ms Kibblewhite and myself were invited to St Catherine’s College Oxford University as part of The Brilliant Club launch programme.

The Brilliant Club Scholars programme helps pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to the most competitive universities. These students will work with a PhD tutor who will deliver weekly tutorials, which will enable them to complete a challenging assignment graded at university level!

The day involved meeting with other schools from across England, a tour of the University campus, interviewing current undergraduates and study skill tips, including how to source credible material for a university style dissertation! The students came away with lots of new vocabulary and an understanding of how to become better critical thinkers. We look forward to the graduation trip in January!
