Science Club- Investigating Rate of Reactions

In science club students enjoyed carrying out a simple chemical reaction to investigate and compare the rate of reactions. Students found out that the rate of a chemical reaction is the speed at which reactants are consumed and products are formed. Future chemists were then shown an impressive demonstration of alkali metals in water and before each reaction took place, students were asked to make a prediction on their reactivity.
