Children's Mental Health Week: Empowering Voices for a Brighter Future

Posted on: 08/02/2024

This week, from the 5th to the 11th of February, we are actively promoting Children's Mental Health Week. Established in 2015, this initiative aims to empower, equip, and amplify the voices of every child in the UK. The theme for this year is "My Voice Matters."

During our Current Events session this week, students delved into the significance of using their voices to not only celebrate personal achievements but also to stand up for their beliefs. Engaging discussions revolved around the challenges some students face in acknowledging and celebrating their own successes. We took the time to explore these difficulties and create a safe space for students to share their accomplishments with each other.

Furthermore, students reflected on the power of their voices in uplifting others and promoting the well-being of both themselves and their peers. It was an inspiring session where students learnt the importance of expressing themselves positively and supporting one another.
