About The Compton SCITT

The Compton SCITT is a well-established School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider. We have an excellent track record in training, retaining and developing staff as successful classroom practitioners, middle and senior leaders. The Compton SCITT has been training teachers for 10 years. Annually, most of the trainees secure employment and have embarked on a most fantastic and rewarding career.

Trainees receive an immersive training programme where they are working alongside outstanding teachers with current and relevant experience. We believe that our school-based route to qualified teacher status offers trainees an in-depth opportunity to work in a systematic, sustained way alongside expert colleagues.

Above all, we are committed to delivering a high quality “hands on” training experience that will provide trainees with the foundations for a rewarding career in teaching. Through our placement school model schools invest in our trainees and support them to integrate training into practice.

Weekly professional studies training sessions will be held at The Compton School on a Monday, with trainees at their base school from Tuesday-Friday each week.
