Science Week
Posted on: 18/03/2024Last week, The Compton School was abuzz with excitement as we celebrated Science Week!
On Tuesday, March 12th, was the KS3 Parent and Student Science Club; An Introduction to Forensic Science. Participants, of CSI Compton, had a great time unravelling mysteries and mastering the profession's techniques. For students interested in careers, forensic science offers an exciting path. A student's feedback: "So much fun, dressing up and analysing blood splatters, hair, handwriting and fingerprints. I loved it!"
On Wednesday, March 13th, our KS3 Science Club showcased a hands-on workshop focusing on crafting timers. This event provided an excellent opportunity for our young scientists to express their creativity and refine their practical skills.
The grand finale on Thursday, March 14th, brought our KS4/5 students together to delve deep into the impact of urban life on the endocrine system of local wildlife. This eye-opening exploration shed light on the delicate balance between human activities and the natural world around us.
Science Week at The Compton School was a success! We thank all parents and students for participating.
